The Microsoft LifeCam Studio made a valiant effort, but it isn’t quite enough to battle against its competition. It has arguably better image quality and a much better microphone. In fact, most of it is outperformed by the Logitech C925E Webcam.

While we applaud the Microsoft LifeCam Studio for making the most of 720p during live video calls, it ultimately isn’t enough to justify the price. Or, better yet, pick up a Logitech C925E Webcam. Too much echo is picked up, so having soundproof panels is necessary. It’s microphone, on the other hand, is high-fidelity. It also lacks internal storage, which is fairly normal. Sadly, zooming isn’t available unless the software you’re using has it there’s no on-board buttons to press. The Microsoft LifeCam Studio Q2F-00013 has an anchor for holding onto laptops and monitors. Or you could have 4K with the Logitech Brio. In other words: you’re getting an enhanced version of 720p. At the same time, Microsoft’s TrueColor technology, which is image processing technology that provides better coloring and brightness. For starters, its glass element lens improves the overall image quality. Unfortunately, the Microsoft LifeCam Studio limits itself to 720p during calls, but 1080p for recording-but there’s a silver lining. However, its awkward, rigid shape may make it difficult to fit in your pocket, not so with the Logitech C922X Pro. As far as size is concerned, it’s pretty small it weighs 4.48 oz and has dimensions of 4.48 x 2.36 x 1.77 inches. For sharper image quality, Microsoft fitted the LifeCam Q2F-00013 with a high precision glass element lens, correcting any distortion that may have occurred otherwise.
